MEET OUR HOSTS

Dara

Dara loves a feel-good story, which is why she’s so excited to spread ~positive vibes~ as the Publisher (Audience/Marketing) at Sundae Stories. She has a BA in Psychology from Queen’s University, and is a passionate advocate for destigmatizing mental illness. When she’s not chatting about mental health with experts and students on select episodes of The Sundae Story, you can find her curled up with a good book, exploring the outdoors, or enjoying a gigantic scoop of pistachio gelato.

Miranda

Through Miranda’s education in Creative Writing & Publishing from Sheridan College and SFU’s Master of Publishing program, she understands the impact a good story can make on the world. While primarily acting as the Editor-in-Chief for The Scoop, she occasionally co-hosts the podcast when the spotlight is on LGBT voices. Ever so patriotic, her favourite ice cream flavour is Moose Tracks (but not too much—she’s diabetic!).

Co-Hosts

Bilal

Bilal is from a visible minority immigrant family and represents the team's diversity and inclusion. He holds a PG diploma in accounting and finance and is thrilled to be a founding member of Sundae Stories as its Publisher (Finance). He's more interested in learning about the various ways to find happiness and fulfillment in everyday life. You'll find him hiking outdoors if he isn't reading a book on spirituality or self-enrichment. His mantra is that everyone should be happy and fulfilled.

Lauren

Lauren is our go-to gal for all things accessibility and design related. She has a BA in sociology from Acadia University and is passionate about promoting accessible content for everyone. She loves to travel and has visited over 40 countries, but is equally as fond of staying home and cuddling with her adorable cat, Marlo (preferably while enjoying some cookie dough ice cream).
